The K-500 is provided with the state-of-the-art CMOS image sensor with a large image-capturing area measuring 23.7mm by 15.7mm, to assure high-speed image data readout. This enables to deliver super-high-resolution, rich-gradation digital images with approximately 16.28 effective megapixels. The K-500 also offers super-high-sensitivity shooting at a top sensitivity of ISO 51200, allowing the photographer to handhold the camera for beautiful nighttime snapshots very efficiently.

The K-500 imparts a high-speed continuous shooting function that enables you to capture active and even the fast-moving subjects such as athletes, stage performers and wildlife. It does so efficiently by capturing a series of images, at a maximum speed of approximately six images per second (in the JPEG recording format). You can grab the best moment without any worries.

This mechanism facilitates delivering of sharp, blur-free images, even under shake-prone conditions such as when shooting in the dark without flash illumination, using a telephoto lens or taking landscapes in twilight. This innovative mechanism works with almost all PENTAX interchangeable lenses, even those developed for film-format cameras. It is also the key to some special functions, including the ASTRO TRACER mode that simplifies astronomical photography in combination with the optional O-GPS1 GPS Unit.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom: First Smartphone to contain 16 Megapixel 10x Optical Zoom Camera

Samsung Electronics has recently announced the launch of the new Samsung GalaxyS4 Zoom, a new device that blends the stylish and fully featured smartphone ‘galaxy S’ series with an amazing best-in-class, highly advanced digital camera; definitely one of its kind! This means that the usual backplate of the previous ‘S4 Mini’ has been replaced with a 16-megapixel camera with unbelievable 10x optical zoom! With the stunning combination it targets many people who now can use their phones as their main camera, that too with highly impressive picture quality.

Samsung GALAXY S4 zoom | PixelBing

It’s powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 960 x 540, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory that’s expandable via microSD. It also has a 2130 mAh battery, and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. The camera set-up includes a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), optical 10X zoom, Xenon flash, HDR, panorama, and 24mm wide-angle lens. It offers full HD video capture, and there’s also a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.

The S4 Zoom is the only smartphone that allows a brilliant optical zoom along with an impressive digital zoom. The focal length starts at 24mm, which is quite a wide angle that allows capturing more of a scene in one picture. It zooms to 10x, which is sufficient for clicking high quality shots even from distant position from the object. The zoom is controlled by a ring around the barrel, which can also be set to control different functions or bring up menus. It can be twisted during a phone call and it’ll allow user to snap a shot and instantly send it to the one at the other end, via MMS. Behind the zoom barrel a 16-megapixel backside, illuminated CMOS sensor, is there. It is physically bigger than the sensors found inside regular smartphones. A bigger sensor means that more light can hit it, which should greatly improve image quality.

With its bigger sensor, higher resolution, and 10x optical zoom, the Galaxy S4 Zoom may well be the dedicated shutterbug’s phone of choice.

Samsung has provided 25 different scene modes to choose from, including “HDR”, “panorama” and “night”. User can allow the phone to suggest the best mode for the scene or they can simply leave it in auto mode for a hassle-free experience.

When the phone specification is considered, galaxy s4 zoom is a bit disappointing. Stuffed inside the body is 1.5GHz dual-core processor is a disappointing downgrade from the huge quad-core brute (octo-core in some places) in the true S4. Editing such high-resolution photos and videos would undoubtedly be made a whole lot smoother with a faster chip but unfortunately a lesser chip in place is a disadvantage that this phone offers. It’s running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the most recent version of Google’s mobile operating system. The interface has been tweaked slightly to make it easier to access camera functions. There’s 8GB of internal storage as standard, of which 5GB is available for use (expandable via microSD). The battery is a fairly capacious 2,330mAh affair, which can be removed via a slot on the side. The screen is a 4.3-inch affair with a disappointing 960×540-pixel resolution. That’s a big step down from the full HD display found on the S4 and particularly irritating given the phone’s imaging focus, where more pixels will help show off a clearer image.

User can do everything and miss nothing thanks to the revolutionary new Zoom Ring, a simple and intuitive way to access the Galaxy S4 Zoom’s key features. As mentioned earlier, while in the middle of a phone call, seeing something that’s absolutely worth sharing, a quick twist of the Zoom Ring will activate the In-Call Photo Share feature. It lets capture and send an image directly via MMS to the one at the other end. For easy camera navigation, the Zoom Ring can be used to activate the Quick Launch and Shortcut features, giving instant access to multiple camera modes including Auto, Gallery and Smart Mode with just a simple twist. Revolutionizing conventional camera zoom controls, the Optical zoom control replaces traditional dials and buttons with smooth, easy-to-operate digital controls making it even easier to take professional and accurate shots.

The Samsung galaxy s4 zoom allows capturing best pictures with the best-in-class 10x Optical Zoom and 16MP BSI CMOS Sensor that lets everyone capture beautiful images from far away or close ups and personal, in all light conditions, without having to carry heavy camera gear. The built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) helps keep the camera perfectly still, reducing blur and stabilizing the image when zooming-in for high-quality photos and videos.

Photo Suggest instantly connects the users to huge libraries of images taken by fellow photographers, to help find and compose the best-ever-shots, anywhere in the world. Photo Suggest can direct to the ideal nearby location which gives the vantage point the user need for that perfect photo. The GalaxyS4 Zoom also features Samsung’s popular Smart Mode.  Nikon D7100 | Review | Price | image | PixelBing

Nikon has recently launched its new DX format DSLR camera worldwide, the new D7100. The D7100 has a 24.1 megapixel DX format CMOS sensor as well as an EXPEED3 image processor for capturing high resloution images. It uses a 51-point AF system for accurate tracking and clicking of the subject. Out of 51, 15 sensors are of cross type. In addition, the center focus point (cross-type) is fully functional with lenses with a maximum aperture of f/8. This means faster, more precise autofocusing with a variety of conditions. Also, it boasts of a faster mechanism and better performance, with a start up time of 0.13 second, and a significantly remarkable 0.052-second shutter lag.

The D7100 houses many new functions for a better shooting experience such as Spot White Balance, a white balance Preset Manual option that allows users to choose a specific subject from which white balance is measured with shooting in live view. Additionally, the D7100 features an RGBW array that enables more effective accumulation of light, as well as a large, 3.2-inch high-resolution TFT LCD monitor with wide viewing angle, and an “i” button that enables direct access to frequently used functions.

The D7100 supports the WR-1, a highly functional transceiver that enables verification and adjustment of settings, as well as control over remote shooting. The WR-1 uses radio waves and supports 15 channels for communication over a maximum range of 120 m between multiple WR-1s. Not only can one WR-1 be configured as a transmitter and a second as a receiver to control operation of one remote camera, but multiple WR-1s can be configured as receivers for remote control over multiple cameras. A number of remote shooting options are available, including simultaneous release and synchronized release, as well as interval timer shooting and division of multiple cameras into groups for separate control over each group. Remote control is also possible using the

The X100S allows Advanced Digital Imaging with the help of New X-Trans CMOS II Sensor and New EXR Processor II. The X100S’s new X-Trans CMOS II Sensor is the successor to the original X-Trans CMOS sensor that features a unique, highly randomized color filter arrangement that removes the need for an optical low-pass filter, allowing it to maximize the amount of light it receives directly to capture much finer image details. The X100S effectively reduces noise by almost a full stop, even in low light shooting, to produce crisp images with minimal grain.

Using its newly-developed X-Trans CMOS II Sensor with built-in phase detection, the FUJIFILM X100S is capable of autofocus speeds as fast as 0.08 seconds, and together with the new EXR Processor II, delivers a start-up time of nearly 0.5 seconds and a shutter lag time of just 0.01 seconds with a shooting interval of 0.5 seconds. The X100S is capable of a burst shooting rate of up to 6 frames per second at the full resolution of 16.3 megapixels.

The X100S also features an Intelligent Hybrid Autofocus system that switches between phase and contrast detection, depending on the subject or scene, to achieve the best balance between speeds and focus precision.

And for the first time ever, the X100S now features a revolutionary Digital Split Image function that uses the X-Trans CMOS II Sensor’s built-in phase detection pixels to display dual images that can be manually focused by the user; and a new Focus Peaking function that highlights high contrast areas of subjects for precise focusing, so that users can achieve perfect focus every time.

Fujifilm introduced the world’s first Hybrid Viewfinder with the original FUJIFILM X100 and improves upon that with the all new X100S’s high-definition Hybrid Viewfinder that allows users to switch between two viewfinder options: optical or electronic.

The optical viewfinder (OVF) shows subjects in the same natural bright clarity as seen with naked eye, while the electronic viewfinder (EVF) shows useful composition information including focus check, exposure, white balance and depth of field. This new viewfinder offers an easy-to-see magnification of 0.5 at a 23mm focal length and a horizontal apparent field of view of 26 degrees, while the all-glass construction uses high-refractive index glass to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion.

The electronic viewfinder uses a 100% coverage, extra high resolution, 2.36 million dot high definition LCD panel. It shows depth-of-field during macro shooting, as well as white balance settings, allowing users to accurately compose their shot while continuously looking through the viewfinder.

FUJIFILM X100S also provides Film Simulation Modes and Artistic Filters. To give users even more creative possibilities, the X100S also features Fujifilm’s proprietary Film Simulation Modes which includes ten film simulation options that replicate the results achieved by Fujifilm color reversal films (Velvia / PROVIA / ASTIA) and professional color negative films (PRO Neg. Std / PRO Neg. Hi), along with three B/W filter effects (Ye filter, R filter and G filter). The X100S also offers eight Advanced Filter functions for additional artistic functionality, including Pop Color, Toy Camera, Miniature, Dynamic Tone, Partial Color, Soft Focus, High Key and Low Key.

During video recording, users have access to many of the additional modes available in still image capture, including Film Simulations, white balance settings and even the Intelligent Hybrid Autofocus function for high-speed and high-precision focusing.

Following the tradition of the FUJIFILM X100, the all-new FUJIFILM X100S continues to prove that advanced digital imaging technology can come in a boldly-designed, premium-built body.

The X100S’s top and base parts are made of magnesium alloy to achieve a lightweight and resilient build, while the dials and rings have been milled from solid metal, with attention paid to the finer details such as finger grips for enhanced operability. The exterior is finished with synthetic leather, which is durable and resistant to the environment while offering the practical benefits of additional grip and comfort.

The menu system in the X100S receives Fujifilm’s latest Q “Quick” button feature that allows users to quickly call up a wide-range of frequently-used settings, and the programmable Fn (Function) button allows users to assign commonly-used functions at the touch of a button.
