Nikon, one of the most notable figures in the camera world has come up with its new top-of-the-line camera, the Next Generation (as they say it) Nikon D4. This camera is an ultimate piece of engineering, with too many new powerful features and superior image quality. The product is campaigned as the Total Professional Imaging Machine, which means it is equally useful for both the still, and the video photographers.

The camera shall be known for its full frame awesomeness of 16.2 effective megapixels, and an excellent still photo capture rate of upto 10 fps with full autofocus. The camera has got an Ethernet port, and a 91,000 pixel metering sensor alongwith a re-engineered AF sensor capable of shooting in lower light levels. This mighty DSLR has 51 point autofocus capability, out of which 15 points are cross type.

Not only this, the Nikon’s own boasted “Multi-media DSLR” isn’t merely a bluff. The DSLR has been expanded with its video abilities too. With the new EXPEED 3: fast, intelligent and powerful 16-bit image processing power underneath, one can shoot full HD 1080p videos in all the FX, DX, and the 1920×1080 crop format. The handy feature that catches attraction is the illuminated buttons and the dual card clots, which includes the new-gen QCD memory cards. The same functionalities have also been incorporated in the Nikon D800 which was launched recently.  The D4 also incorporates a wireless transmitter for clicking pictures at a distance.

When it comes to the matter of price, the allrounder boy has been priced at about $6000 (US Dollars) and INR 3,49,950 in India for Body only.
